The Lara Project.
 
Lara was build in the years 2006 and 2007 at the Darmstadt University of Technology. In general, she is actuated by 34 SMA actuators. One of the main goals of the Lara Project was the creation of a more humanoid robot than conventional robots which results e.g. in their light and transparent design.
